![]() This type of game is excellent for live streaming online, and according to Ahmad, the title has ranked as the 8th most streamed game in China in the last two weeks. The well-known industry analyst Daniel Ahmad noted in a recent tweet that the Among Us Alternative is especially popular in South Korea and China. According to our China Games Streaming Tracker it was the #8 most watched PC game on live streaming platforms in the past 2 weeks This social deduction game has been going viral over the past month and just surpassed Among Us' PCCU on SteasĬhina and Korea have been key markets. GGD has already been measuring comparable heights for several weeks, and the trend has kept increasing, especially in the Asian regions. Thus, the game ranked after Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (1.133.610) and Dota 2 (748.150) in third place among the best Steam games at this time. There it was able to record a new peak value of 640.324 current players. Original article, JanuAmong Us Alternative is especially trendy in Asian countriesĪccording to the numbers on Steamcharts, it is clear that the free Among Us spin-off was very trendy, especially in the Asian region. Apparently just an anomaly due to server or software difficulties, which now seems to have been resolved. Subsequently, however, the graphs returned to their old popularity, and everything is as it was. Websites like SteamCharts showed stagnation without further significant swings to only a few thousand players between January 9 and 12. The abrupt drop in player numbers looked suspicious when writing the article. Sounds like a quirky title? It is indeed – containing a lot of fun! killing scene in Among us (Source: Innersloth) GGD is an online deduction game in which ducks must try to kill actual geese while they are disguised as such, while the geese must work together to complete several tasks and unmask supposed ducks. The title is currently so trendy that it recently overtook (or should we say fluttered over) the top dog Among Us, whose game concept it is very closely based on. We are talking about the free-to-play indie game Goose Goose Duck. Note: The above results do not reflect the total PSN/XBL stats in the world, but they are a good sample as these 2 are the biggest known tracking sites for either platform.A free Among Us Alternative is currently posting record numbers on Steam in terms of simultaneous players and came remarkably close to the throne of the best steam game. Trueachievements for Xbox and PSN Profiles for PS5 (I am registered on both, just a tangent)ģ785 people have gotten the achievement for beating the final boss.ĥ22 people have gotten the trophy for finishing the final chapter in Forspoken (it is not tied to difficulty from what I can find) For a purely academic research, lets compare between 2 popular trophy/achievement tracking sites. The game has multiple difficulties and a unique trophy for each one.Ģ. ![]() The less than 1% you are talking about is the difference in what difficulty trophy you get post-game. ![]() ![]() I know that doesn't sound much but its a 200% increase. The completion ratio for HF Rush on Xbox is not less than 1%, it's 3% for beating the final boss and finishing the story. Here's some relevant info that anyone can look up in a few mins.ġ. Is it just a lot of big talk from diehards in that community when they get a game like this yet, none of them actually invest serious time into them? HiFi's like an 8-hour game, you could beat it in a weekend between two afternoons if you wanted. How does this keep happening? First Pentiment, now this game. I think what's more concerning are the completion rates for HiFi Rush on Xbox, apparently it's less than 1%. Again, probably a fringe factor but a release as advertised as Forspoken would probably attract some of those types to counter it on fraudulent grounds. It's a game that caters more to Steam's gaming audience, it's a rather short game, vibrant/colorful, not really epic/serious in storytelling or being cinematic, seems experimental in an "indie" kind of way etc.įorspoken's mixed reviews probably also didn't help, and while it's a niche factor, I have heard Steam has a problem with certain,, " problematic" groups part of fascist communities who would have very ridiculous reasons to try suppressing Forspoken review scores or reception. It's also less than half the price of Forspoken so, all things considered, it's not surprising it's outsold Forspoken on Steam. A lot of them are also very colorful and less "serious" types of game (well in the case of Goose Goose Duck), and run well on lower-end hardware specs.įorspoken doesn't really meet any of those criteria, while HiFi Rush does. None of these are story-heavy games (GTA5 being in there is almost exclusively for GTA Online), they are MP-centric and can be enjoyed in short stretches of 2 or so hours while getting your fill with them.
